A SMALL COLLECTION OF ANTIQUE SILVER AND OBJECTS OF VERTU

English ivory letter opener with pyrography this Victorian letter opener on ivory of English origin was made in late 19th / beginning 20th century.
The handle has a trompe oeil decoration in pyrography (pyrography is a process of producing design on wood or other material by using heated tools or a fine flame).
The letter opener is 7 in. wide (cm. 18) and was bought from an Italian dealer at an Antique Fair.

This item is not for sale, but most of my pieces were bought through the Internet. On the right bar of this page there are some links to silver and antique dealers websites
