briar wood and silver cigarette box - Italy





Italian silver cigarette box this briar wood cigarette case with silver lid and thumbpiece was made by an Italian silversmith in Florence.
The silver lid bears the "fascio" hallmark used in Italy between 1935/1940.
The box is 6 3/4 in. wide (cm. 17) and was bought from an Italian dealer at an Antique Fair.
