silver ex-voto plaque: Naples 19th century
this is a 19th century silver ex-voto plaque inscribed "A divozione di Eugenio Ardente" (dedicated by Eugenio Ardente). The plaque have the addition of a contemporary silver on copper earring (or button) of typical "borbonic" manufacture.
The ex-voto has the "testina di Partenope" mark used in the Regno delle due Sicilie (Naples - Italy) for 883/1000 silver from 1832 to 1872.
The ex voto plaque measures 3 3/4 in. (cm. 9,5) and was bought from an Italian dealer in an Antique Market.
