silver salt cellar - Russia





Russian silver salt cellar: Moskow 1899-1908
this is a Russian silver salt cellar of circular shape, standing on three ball feet. It is decorated with parcel gilt engraved motifs on the side, beaded rim and gilt interior.
The bottom is hallmarked with Moskow mark 1899-1908 and maker's mark "IP" (I.P. Prokofiev). The salt have a diameter of 1 1/2 in. (cm. 4) and was bought from an Italian dealer in an Antique Market
