English ivory letter opener with pyrography this Victorian letter opener on ivory of English origin was made in late 19th / beginning 20th century.
The handle has a trompe oeil decoration in pyrography (pyrography is a process of producing design on wood or other material by using heated tools or a fine flame).
The letter opener is 7 in. wide (cm. 18) and was bought from an Italian dealer at an Antique Fair.
