devil head silver Cayenne spoon - England
this is a Edwardian silver 'Cayenne' spoon (or snuff spoon) made in Birmingham in 1906 by silversmith
William Hutton & Sons.
It has a 'devil' at the top of the handle.
The spoons is coupled to an ancient (not original: maybe a scent bottle) blown-glass bottle (an example
of original cayenne powder bottle is illustrated on bottom page).
The spoon is 3 1/4 in. long (cm. 8) and was bought by an US dealer through the Internet.
This item is not for sale, but most of my pieces were bought through the Internet.
On the right bar of this page there are some links to silver and antique dealers websites
