raised edge silver tray - ITALY
this is a hand hammered silver tray with raised edge. The tray is marked with the c. 1950 Italian hallmarks: '800' (silver purity degree) and 30PD (silversmith Zaramella - Padova).
It bears also the 1812-1872 Lombardo Veneto hallmarks for 800/1000 silver purity degree (mondo e trioni) and Venice assay office (ornamento di poppa). These are not authentic ancient marks and were used only to embellish the piece.The tray is 8 in. wide (cm. 20), 1 1/8 in. tall (3 cm.) and was bought from an Italian dealer through the Internet.
