Victorian silver Cayenne spoon - England
this is a Victorian silver condiment-jar pickle-spoon or ' Cayenne ' spoon made in Birmingham in 1870 by silversmith H.M.
The spoon is coupled to a glass bottle blown on Murano kilns and fully hand-cut inspiring to ancient English cayenne-bottle models (see bottom page) by craftman master Gigi Rusca.
The spoon is 4 1/2 in. long (cm. 11) and was bought by an Italian dealer at an Antique Market.
This item is not for sale, but most of my pieces were bought through the Internet.
On the right bar of this page there are some links to silver and antique dealers websites
