silver baby rattle - Italy





Italian antique silver baby rattle this is a silver baby rattle of 'Art Deco' taste made in Italy in the 'thirties'
It is made by six superimposed geometric elements of hexagonal shape and is engraved with the dedications '6-9-36' (September 9, 1936) and 'SERGIO'.
It is hallmarked with '800' (800/1000 silver) and a rubbed maker's mark.
The rattle is 2 1/4 in. long (cm. 6) and was bought from an Italian dealer at an Antique Fair.
