founded by brothers Friedrich Otto (ca. 1838-1901) and Freidrich Wilhelm (ca. 1838-1910) Dingeldein. Friedrich Otto's son August Ernst Dingeldein (1874-1962) was their successor, and married Margarethe Kurz (1876-1947), the daughter of Karl Kurz (1851-1936), which is how the Dingeldein and Kurz companies came to be merged. He did open a New York showroom assisted by his sons Karl August (1901-1965) and Otto Friedrich (1906-1991) Dingeldein, both of whom moved to America permanently in 1927, where they became prominent silversmiths in New Orleans, Louisiana and Cape Girardeau, Missouri, respectively.

Köberlin succeeded to Layritz factory (a Döbelner specialty since 1828) in 1875. In 1914 the owners were Oskar and Walter Schmidt who moved the factory to a new extensive site in Bahnhofstrasse. The Gebrüder Köberlin company was nationalized in 1954 and became
Sibefa VEB Silberwarenfabrik Döbeln. Sibefa production ceased in 1965.

The firm was founded in 1771 introducing the "GK" mark into a gothic window around 1890. From 1932 until 1948 the company was managed by Walter Kramer with the successfully production of articles inspired to maritime motifs under the name "Fischlandschmuck". In 1948 the company was forced to relocate to Travemünde while the Ribnitz activity was nationalized by German Democratic Republic Government and converted into
VEB Fischlandschmuck. In the 1950s VEB Fischlandschmuck continued the production of Walter Kramer designs but, in the late 1950s, after a legal dispute won by Travemünde company was forced to change its name to VEB Ostseeschmuck and adopt a new mark (a highly stylized and left-facing fish). The Travemünde company continued its activity managed by Georg Kramer stepdaughter and her husband, while, after Germany reunification, VEB Ostseeschmuck was privatized in 1992 under the name Ostsee Schmuch GmbH.

Founded in 1796 by Hermann Richard Gerhardi a pioneer of the production of brass and copper buckles. The portfolio was later expanded including tea and coffee services. The production facilities moved to Lüdenscheid in North Rhine-Westphalia in 1879, where the head office of the Gerhardi Kunststofftechnik GmbH is located still today

Scheid completed a commercial apprenticeship until 1853 and subsequently worked in Pforzheim and Stuttgart. In 1858 he went to Vienna and worked there in the workshop of his future father-in-law, the silverware producer and jeweler Michael Markowitsch. Together they founded the OHG Markowitsch & Scheid in 1862. 20 years later, he left the thriving company and founded in 1882 under his name a jewelry factory and 1884 also the Georg Adam Scheid'sche Affinerie, from which later the Ögussa emerged. In 1911 he retired. His jewelery works bear the marks "G.A.S. " or "S.G.A. " and often the German hallmark "Crescent and Crown"

The Godet firm was founded in 1761 by Jean Godet. The Godet firm was one of the earliest order decoration jewelers in Germany. Under the management of Jean Fredric Godet the company became court jeweler to the Prussian Kings in 1828. The Godet family ran the business as J. Godet & Söhne from approximately 1864 to sometime after 1924, when the name changed to Eugen Godet & Co. In the late 1920th early 1930th the name changed again to Gebrüder Godet & Co.
