enamel on silver watch and silver pin - Switzerland/England
this is a silver and enamel watch made in Switzerland by "Sco". It has 800/1000 silver fineness mark, gilt interior and Swiss marks of the period 1882-1934.
The movement of the watch has cylinder escapement (escapement is a device which converts continuous rotational motion into an oscillating or back and forth motion).
The watch is decorated with a guilloché turquoise blue enamel with a gold flower on the back.
A silver pin in the shape of a ribbon allows hanging the watch to the clothing.
It bears full hallmarks for Chester 1906; maker's mark W&Ss (not identified).
The watch has a diameter of 1 in. (cm. 2,5). Also the pin measures 1 in. (cm. 2,5). The watch and its pin were bought from an UK dealer through the Internet.
