Richard Lebram - Berlin and Pforzheim (possibly) Lebram Richard - Berlin and Pforzheim (possibly)
gold, silverware and watch wholesaler / Gold-, Silberwaren- und Uhrengroßhandlung
Established in Berlin in 1893 by Richard Lebram with a branch in Pforzheim (opened, probably, in the 1930s). Richard (of Jewish origin) was succeeded by his son Jürgen Lebram (c.1935) together with Paul John and Werner John as managing directors. In 1942, the name of the company was changed to "Lebram & John GmbH". In 1950 the sole managing director, Jürgen Lebram, registered the company's move to Pforzheim. Amazingly, the company survived the Nazi era unscathed with the waves of Aryanization of Jewish companies, possibly because it had successfully credited itself as an Aryan business.
