Fahrner Theodor - Pforzheim Fahrner Theodor - Pforzheim     active 1855-1979
ring factory founded in 1855 by Theodor Fahrner sen. His son Theodor Fahrner jun. worked in the company and, at the death of his father (1883), took the reins of the business. In 1899 he established the "Firma für künstlerischen Gold- und Silberschmuck" (Company for artistic gold and silver jewelry). In its production Fahrner workshop was inspired by the major European art movements of Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Art Moderne and the contemporary periods creating from 1885-1979 fine jewelry that exemplified all these styles. Fahrner himself was most active in design work between 1899 and 1906, but many others as Franz Boeres, Paul Burck, Max Josef Gradl, Ludwig Habich, Hermann Häussler, Patritz Huber, Ludwig Knupper, Julius Muller-Salem, Joseph Maria Olbrich, H.C. van de Velde contributed with their jewelry designs. In 1919, after the death of Th. Fahrner jun., his widow, Martha Fahrner, sold the company to Gustav Braendle of Essling and passed on under the name Bijouteriewarenfabrik Gustav Braendle. From 1932 started the production of "inexpensive jewelry (preiswertem Schmuck)" with the designation "DEA". The firm closed in 1979.

Franz Carl Paul Telge (1846-1909) was a German craftsman, as well as court jeweler and court goldsmith of the Romanian royal couple Karl I and Elisabeth. His field of activity included the creation of medals and decorations, goldsmith's work for the high nobility and reproductions of prehistoric gold finds.
