Henry F. Wichman was born in Hanover, Germany in 1866. His family emigrated to New York in 1868. Henry went to Hawaii in 1887 as a successful candidate to an ad placed in a San Francisco newspaper by Hawaiian King Kalakaua who was looking for an engraver and jeweler. Henry began in the jewelry business that same year along with J. E. Gomes as "Gomes & Wichman". One year later (1888) Henry bought out Gomes and became sole owner. In 1903 the firm of "H. F. Wichman & Co. Ltd." was incorporated. H. F. Wichman & Co. are still in business today

Established in 1856 with a partnership of
A. Augustus Wightman and Walter S. Hough. After the death of Wightman (1893) the firm was incorporated under the control of Hough family. They were manufacturers of gold, rolled plate and sterling silver lockets, seal, medallions and other jewelry. Out of business c. 1922.

Started in 1889 as Rowan & Wilcox. Became Wilcox & Evertsen in1892 with Robert M. Wilcox and Henry H. Evertsen as partners. In 1896 the company was bought by Meriden Britannia Co and moved to Meriden, CT. After the formation of the International Silver Co the flatware line moved to Wallingford, CT while the hollowware was maintained in Meriden. In 1929 they were consolidated with other sterling lines in the old Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co buildings.

Active in the 1900s. Beginning about 1900, Watson Company produced a line of sterling hollow-ware for Wilcox & Wagoner using the "sword and laurel wreath" mark. Wilcox & Wagoner closed down c.1905 and Watson continued producing with this mark until 1929.

After a training at Gorham, Woolley (1864-after 1927) worked for many years for the Boston silversmiths Goodnow and Jenks and established his own workshop in 1908. An early member and award-winning medalist of Boston's Society of Arts and Crafts, he also belonged to the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts and exhibited in New York City. Much of Woolley's work reflects the Colonial Revival style.
