Watches and Jewelry, active at 619 Broadway. During the 1890s and early 1900s Joseph Platt Howard and his son Montague Howard were associated to the firm. From 1895 to 1897 Arthur J. Stone entered in partnership producing a variety of items.

HOWARD STERLING CO. - Providence, RI
Founded in 1878 as H. Howard & Co by Hiram Howard, A.J. Scherrieble and Arnold Nicoud , became Howard & Scherrieble from 1879 to 1884 when the name changed to Howard & Son. In 1891 the firm changed to its final name
Howard Sterling Co until c. 1901 when it went out of business (some of the patterns were sold to Roger Williams Silver Co). In 1891 they disposed of the electroplated goods branch of the business to Parks Bros. & Rogers.
The use of mark with the four-leaf clover surrounded by STERLING in horseshoe shape (registered in 1880 and not present in Rainwater's books) preceded the change of name to Howard Sterling Co. After its disposal the trademark was used also by Roger Williams Silver Co and, possibly, Parks Bros. & Rogers

James T. Woolley at 79, Chestnut Street, Boston as "Hunt & Woolley". He opened his own shop in 1905 and taught metal classes at the Boston Museum School (1905-1942). Hunt entered his hallmark at Chester Assay Office in UK
